Calling Individuals with a Passion for the Arts!

We work with over 100 individuals of all ages and ethnicities each year who all help deliver the Hostry Festival; from UEA students to CEOs of local businesses, charities and trusts, as well as those from marginalised backgrounds and those with additional needs.

The ongoing success of the festival depends on the help & support of passionate, reliable individuals. We have a wide variety of roles on offer for the right people each year, from costume design to front of house support.

In return for your precious support, our team offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a wealth of knowledge in theatre and the arts and the chance to gain hands-on experience.

Meet our Volunteer Coordinators!

Our volunteer coordinators are on hand throughout the festival to support and lead our wonderful team of volunteers. The team is headed up by husband & wife duo, SHARON & RON UPTON, who work tirelessly both in the lead up to our events, and front of house on the night to deliver a first-class experience to our festival guests.

They are joined by MARCIA JEFFRIES, ALLISON ARMSTRONG and CAROLINE AKORITA who bring warmth, passion and enthusiasm to the festival.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Budding graphic designer

We’re on the hunt for a budding graphic designer with access to design software (e.g Adobe Creative Cloud) to help us design marketing materials for our social media channels, particularly Facebook & Instagram.

This role could suit students studying graphic design & skilled individuals looking for experience of working on cultural marketing projects as part of a team.
