The Hostry Festival is proud to be presenting the Award winning
writer and actress Sally Phillips, well known for her roles in Smack the
Pony, Miranda and the Bridget Jones trilogy. Since her big break in
I’m Alan Partridge, Sally has gone on to star in HBO’s VEEP, Dave’s
Taskmaster and to curate R4’s Museum of Curiosity. Sally’s remarkable TV Documentary for the BBC in 2017 profiled her son’s condition of Down’s syndrome. The reaction to her investigation of this subject matter within the documentary was deeply moving and has since resonated across the globe. With inclusion being at the heart of the festival this year, we are more than proud to welcome Sally Phillips to Norfolk. This promises to be a frank and in depth on stage profile of one of the country’s leading actresses and ambassadors for the rights of people with disabilities and those whose voice is yet to be fully heard in society.
