Cocteau’s classic play and Poulenc’s chamber opera together in a unique double bill. Returning to the Hostry Festival for a final appearance, this beautifully realised original festival commission from 2015 is without doubt one of the finest productions in our first 8 years. The simple conceit of a woman’s phone call to her partner, the night before a life changing event, is the perfect vehicle for the telling of a highly charged tale of human frailty. Totally arresting and not to be missed, this is your chance to see the story portrayed by two of Norfolk’s finest performers.
